The STEM Expo 2024, hosted at SCOTLE HIGH SCHOOL in Jaipur, brought together some of the best minds across Rajasthan in an exciting fashion. The two day event conducted on December 21st and 22nd featured young intellectuals that showcased their creativity to come up with sustainable solutions.
The event aimed at championing sustainability by proposing their innovative solution, tackling real world issues. The expo featured competitions across two categories: Juniors from grades 6–8 and seniors from grades 9–12.
IMPORTANCE OF THE THEME
The theme for this year’s STEM Expo 2024 was, “Innovating Together for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. At its very heart, the theme sends all of us a very deep message that may sound utopian but can be grasped. The term “together” is of great importance as it highlights our collective responsibility on this planet and the need to secure the resources for the future. It is the very principles that extend to sustainable development, without compromising on the welfare of the future generations. Several young innovators with the assistance from all the sectors, that is Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), tackled such issues.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT
All the projects displayed at the event deserve immense praise for their efforts and diversity. Among these fascinating projects, few stellar attractions of the STEM Expo 2024 stood out for their comprehensive solutions. Some of the highlights of the event include:
VYRO – The Vial Cooler : This project was presented by Jayshree Periwal Global School, Jaipur that focused on portable coolers for vials. They aimed at a safer transportation of temperature sensitive substances.
A.I. for the Blind: SCOTLE HIGH SCHOOL utilised artificial intelligence to assist visually impaired individuals. Such an advance will highly assist them in moving around, thus making them more independent.
Stellar Vision: Advancing Galaxy Morphology Classification with AI : Exploring the cosmos and journeying through the galaxies, Rukmani Birla Modern High School, Jaipur, impressed everyone. Their project is a significant contribution to the field of astrophysics for educational purposes and energy conservation.
