Annual Sports Meet
The much-awaited Annual Sports Day was held on the auspicious occasion of Republic Day, 26th January, 2020 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. It was the fusion of both the great occasions. Everyone was filled with the feeling of patriotism and sportsmanship on our Annual Sports Meet, INVICTUS 2019-20. The opening ceremony was held on 20th January, 2020 and the whole week was considered as the sports week. Trials of different sports activities and final selections were done during the sports week. On the final day, the event was celebrated with great spontaneity and variations in the form of sports and cultural activities, with the theme ‘INVICTUS’, which means unconquered & undefeatable. The program began with flag hoisting and welcoming words by our respected principal.
In her speech, she asked the students to take fair part with true sportsmanship and welcomed all the parents. The pre-primary children spell bounded everyone with their energetic drill and cute little sports activities. The Annual sports day for Primary wing was conducted with competitive spirit between the 4 teams: – Arpinder Singh, Sunil Chhetri, Dutee Chand, P. V. Sindhu It began with the fusion dance by students of grade I to VII where they stunned everyone with the synchronised beats on skates & music. Following to it, the Primary students showcased their true potential strength in different athletic disciplines, like obstacle race, hurdle race, football match, shot put run, relay race and athletic runs (100mtr, 200mtr and 400mtr). Not only the students, the parents were also very enthusiastic to take part in all the activities which were exclusively designed for them. It was mesmerised to see how they had set an example of fair play and not giving up in front of each and every student. The program was appreciated by all the flocks and around the city. The program ended with a majestic dance performance by grade V,VI & VII students to awaken the patriotism.
